SYSTEM OVERVIEW
The Symani® Surgical System is a flexible platform consisting of two robotic arms that can be easily positioned to facilitate surgical procedures across any anatomical region. The innovative design is optimized for ease of use and set-up for the surgeon and surgical team.
The system features 7-20X motion scaling with tremor filtration to address the demands and complexity of microsurgery and supermicrosurgery. This powerful combination allows surgeons to scale their hand movements while seamlessly articulating the proprietary, NanoWrist® robotic microinstruments.
The Symani Console consists of an ergonomic chair and surgeon controlled manipulators along with a footswitch controller. While comfortably seated, the surgeon can directly control the manipulators in the same manner as they would with manual instrumentation. The console offers the flexibility to be positioned at the patient bedside or can be used with a heads-up 3D visualization system.
Symani’s NanoWrist Instruments are the world’s smallest, wristed surgical instruments which are intended to improve a surgeon’s natural dexterity and range of motion beyond the capability of the human hand.
The NanoWrist Needle Holder and Dilator with their 3mm wrists allow for an unobstructed view of the target anatomy while the 7 Degrees of Freedom offered by the wrist enable the precision and control necessary for surgeons to manipulate and suture delicate structures.
